Conclusion of the First-ever "GROW with SAP" Strategic Partnership with SAP Japan in Japan

ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Ichiro Tsuge, President and CEO; hereinafter “CTC”) has signed the first-ever strategic partnership agreement in Japan with SAP Japan Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Hirofumi Suzuki, President and Representative Director; hereinafter “SAP Japan”) for “Grow with SAP”, its cloud ERP service. CTC will achieve a smooth migration to cloud environments by leveraging “Figues”, our solution that optimizes mission critical systems with adoption of “Fit to Standard” approach for SAP ERP implementation and API integration. We will offer the service to existing SAP ERP user companies and those considering implementation of the ERP and aim to achieve sales of 10 billion yen over the next three years.

In recent years, IT systems have been playing an increasingly important roles as companies move forward with DX initiatives. Mission critical systems with ERP at their core often require time-consuming upgrades and modifications due to additional developments at the time of implementation. Therefore, there are growing needs for systems that can respond flexibly to changes in the environment by adopting the “Fit to Standard” approach for implementation with as few add-ons as possible and integration with peripheral systems for missing functions.

“GROW with SAP” is a complete offering of solutions, adoption acceleration services, community, and learning. SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition helps accelerate customers’ business with the latest industry best practices and continuous innovation. The services allow use of “SAP® Business Technology Platform”, an extended platform that includes AI and no-code development tools and “SAP Activate”, a best-practice methodology for migrating to SAP S/4HANA with cloud ERP at its core, enabling effective use of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition in a short period of time.

CTC has been offering Figues, our standard ERP implementation solution, since 2021. Figues solution is provided as a combination of standard implementation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition and integration with individual systems by leveraging SAP® Business Technology Platform and realizes reduction of operational load from integration with other systems, integration/change of user interface, functional modification and service visualization with keeping the mission critical systems clean, enabling optimization of user systems to suite their businesses. Our track records of providing Figues in addition to our many years of experience in the mission critical system business were appreciated and led to the conclusion of the first in Japan Grow with SAP strategic partnership. Backed by strong support from SAP with this partnership, we will facilitate provision of Figues and comprehensively support optimization and effective utilization of customers' mission critical systems and shift to in-house business process improvements by taking every step alongside with them.

CTC will contribute to improvement of customers' business efficiency and promotion of their DX by further enhancing the functions of Figues, which will lead to improved convenience of their mission critical systems, and by strengthening the training of engineers for GROW with SAP.
