ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Satoshi Kikuchi, President & CEO; hereinafter "CTC") today announced that its Technical Solution Center (hereinafter "TSC"), CTC's comprehensive validation center, was recognized as a facility suitable for demonstration and verification of Oracle products and certified as the first Oracle Authorized Solution Center (hereinafter "OASC") in Japan and Asia-Pacific region.
Following this as the first time, CTC today commenced offering SPARC Server Consolidation Solution, which virtually integrates SPARC servers, and Simple Database Solution, which rapidly deploys high-availability database systems.
CTC will work together with Oracle Corporation and Oracle Corporation Japan to press ahead with development of solutions based on the Oracle platform and verification of customers' systems in efforts to boost sales by using OASC.
CTC's Technical Solution Center
The TSC is a comprehensive validation center in a multi-vendor environment. Mainly with around 200 technical specialists, it deals with at least 2,000 incidents per year concerning verification of technologies, products and projects. It is permanently equipped with the latest demonstration environment in different areas including Cloud technologies and Big Data solutions.
In 2010, the Oracle Performance Lab was launched inside the TSC as a facility for analysis and verification of performance of customers' database systems. It also offers the Proof of Concept (PoC) service, Oracle Database Transfer Support Service and other services in association with Oracle products.
Oracle Authorized Solution Center
OASC is a global network of Oracle Solution Centers and Partner driven Solution Centers like CTC's Technical Solution Center. Oracle grants it to facilities based on its assessment of their engineers, equipment, record of results and other factors. Oracle engineers and experts are allowed to connect to OASC-certified facilities to offer solution proposals and verification services more ideally suited to customers' needs. OASC are available in several countries, and the TSC is the first facility joining the OASC community in Japan and Asia Pacific region.
New Solutions Launched Following OASC Certification
- Following OASC certification, CTC has begun offering two solutions:
- SPARC Server Consolidation Solution: This capitalizes on Oracle's virtualization technologies to build a virtual integrated platform based on Oracle Solaris on the latest SPARC servers. In addition to construction of an infrastructure, the solution offers a utility that supports transition from the physical environment to achieve easy transition.
- Simple Database Solution: This features a database design template, database construction guide and Oracle Database Appliance to achieve fast introduction of the Oracle Database environment. It can construct an Oracle Real Application Clusters database system with high availability in a short period of time.
