CTC Group Human Rights Policy

The CTC Group has adopted the CTC Group Human Rights Policy (hereinafter the "Policy"), based on its corporate philosophy, code of conduct and sustainability policy, and promotes initiatives for respecting the human rights of all people involved in the corporate activities of the CTC Group.

1. Scope of application

This Policy applies to all people working in the CTC Group. The CTC Group encourages its business partners and other interested parties to understand and comply with this Policy and collaborate with us on initiatives for respecting human rights.

2. Respect and supporting international guidelines

The CTC Group supports international human rights codes, including the International Bill of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact.We will also promote measures for respecting human rights in alignment with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

3. Respect for human rights

The CTC Group prohibits outrages upon personal dignity, including acts that are discriminatory based on race, nationality, social origin or status, age, sex, property, religion, creed, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical characteristics, injuries, diseases, disability, etc., discrimination facilitated by new technologies, any form of harassment, the violation of privacy rights, and all forms of forced or compulsory labour or child labor. It also recognizes freedom of association and collective bargaining rights and respects workers’ rights, including their right to a safe and healthy working environment and fair working conditions.

4. Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

The CTC Group will comply with the laws and regulations of each country or region in which it conducts its business activities. In the event of any conflict between internationally recognized human rights and the laws and regulations of individual countries and regions, the Group will pursue ways to respect international human rights policies to the fullest extent possible.

5. Promotion structure

The officer in charge of sustainability promotion within the CTC Group will be responsible for implementing this Policy, and CTC's Board of Directors will oversee the initiatives set out therein.

6. Human rights due diligence

Based on the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the CTC Group will implement human rights due diligence to identify, prevent and mitigate anything that may negatively impact human rights and fulfill its commitment to accountability.

7. Remedy and rectification

If it is found that the corporate business activities of the CTC Group have negatively impacted human rights or have been involved in something negatively impacting human rights, we will strive to remedy and rectify that through appropriate procedures and dialogue. The CTC Group will strictly control its information management to protect the privacy of whistleblowers and interested parties and the nature of reports that it receives and it will protect whistleblowers to ensure that they will not suffer from any disadvantageous treatment due to their submission of reports.

8. Dialogue and consultations

In the initiatives set out in the Policy, the CTC Group will utilize third parties’ specialized knowledge in the area of human rights and engage in dialogue with internal and external stakeholders.

9. Education and training

The CTC Group will strive to provide appropriate education and training to all people working in the Group to ensure that this Policy is incorporated and implemented in its corporate activities. It will also take action to ensure that its business partners understand this Policy.

10. Disclosure of information

The CTC Group will disclose the status and results of its initiatives for respecting human rights based on this Policy on its website.
