CTC Holds "Take Your Family to Work Day!" Office Tour for Families of Employees

On Tuesday, August 6, ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (President & CEO: Satoshi Kikuchi;head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo;hereinafter "CTC") held a "Take Your Family to Work Day!" office tour (below, "the Tour") during the summer holidays with the aim of providing families of employees with an understanding of the workplace and the nature of the job. Now in its 6th year, this year was the first time the Tour was held in Tokyo and Osaka at the same time, and was attended by 26 families and 64 people (Tokyo 21 families, 50 people; Osaka 5 families, 14 people).

The Tour has been held annually since 2008 with the aim of giving the families of employees a better understanding of the company, the job, and IT, while at the same time promoting understanding in respect of the balance between work and child-rearing.

The families of employees who participated toured the office where their respective family member works, as well as participating in a rock-paper-scissors contest and other activities via teleconference link between Tokyo and Osaka.

CTC's social contribution activities include helping to raise assistance dogs in collaboration with the Guide Dog & Service Dogs Association of Japan, and running a static electricity class for local children to understand static electricity through experiments. The Tour held a service demonstration with assistance dogs that are actually working in the community, a static electricity class for participating families, and other activities to promote understanding of the company's social contribution.

CTC will continue to pursue the creation of pleasant working environments through a variety of initiatives that seek to promote communication between employees and their families.
