ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Tatsushi Shingu, President and CEO; hereinafter “CTC”) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. (headquartered in Houston, Texas, USA; Antonio Neri, President and CEO; hereinafter “HPE”) have agreed to enhance our collaboration in the AI field, aiming to further expand our AI businesses, including generative AI.
In recent years, AI, including generative AI, has become a crucial technology where the success of its utilization determines a company's competitiveness. The scope of its application is not limited to internal systems, and is expanding to edge environments such as factories and logistics facilities. From the perspective of data security and governance, there is a growing need for safe and high-performance AI platforms that support various environments, including on-premises and hybrid clouds.
Through this enhanced collaboration, the two companies will further expand our AI businesses by leveraging HPE Private Cloud AI , HPE’s enterprise AI platform solution from NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE, as the infrastructure helping enterprises utilize AI. The specific initiatives are the followings:
- Provide HPE Private Cloud AI integrated with CTC’s portfolio AI applications
- Jointly develop AI inference platform solution using HPE Private Cloud AI
- Generate potential sales opportunities through joint events, market research, and other sales activities
CTC has extensive experience in building, maintaining, and operating large-scale systems using HPE servers and storage products and is the only company in Japan certified as an International Solution Provider, the highest tier in HPE’s Partner Program.
Furthermore, CTC is focusing on expanding our AI-related solutions and launched the North America Partnership Program (NAPP)*1 in April 2023, to establish partnerships with overseas tech startups. Through this initiative, CTC has begun providing cutting-edge AI applications, including LLM orchestration tools and purpose-built generative AI model development tools.
Going forward, CTC and HPE will continue to build safe and flexible AI platforms supporting on-premises and hybrid cloud environments by ensuring data security and governance through this solidified partnership, aiming to support wider adoption of AI technology by our customers for their business growth.
We have received the following comment for this press release.
