ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Ichiro Tsuge, President and CEO; hereinafter “CTC”) today announced that CTC started offering the two predictive prevention platform solutions from Deep Instinct (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Toshihiro Namiki, Country Manager for Japan), the Japanese subsidiary of U.S.-based Deep Instinct . These are Next-Generation Antivirus solutions by AI to prevent unknown threats specific for applications and storages. We aim to achieve sales of 1.5 billion yen by providing the solutions over the next three years.
Cyber-attack methods are getting diversified and sophisticated every year. Deep Instinct is the prevention-first cybersecurity solution, which utilizes deep learning to predict known threats as well as potential future threats, such as malware and zero-day attacks. CTC has been offering the solution since 2022.
CTC today started offering the two Deep Instinct solutions: “Deep Instinct Prevention for Applications (DPA)” to protect applications and “Deep Instinct Prevention for Storage (DPS)” to protect NAS storage.
DPA is an anti-malware solution via API that quickly scan files received via emails and web applications to securely send and receive files using those methods. DPS immediately scans all files whenever files are added to NAS, and malicious files are either quarantined or deleted to prevent execution. With predictive models of attacks by deep learning, file scan time is in less than 20 milliseconds, which allows conducting security measures without significantly impacting system processing. Frequent update of pattern files is no longer required. Deep Instinct prevents unknown threats only with several updates per year, thus reducing the burden on system operators.
CTC has had great partnership with Deep Instinct to deliver the predictive prevention approach "Deep Instinct" mainly in the financial and telecommunications industries as a market-leader since its launch in 2022. Based on the experience and expertise we have accumulated to date, CTC will also continue to deliver the following services for deployment of DPA and DPS: verification of suitability for customer environments, system design and construction, consulting and 24/7/365 maintenance and operation services.
