CTC Establishes Security Operations Center, Launches Global-Oriented Managed Security Service

Enterprise IT systems are continually exposed to new security threats, including targeted attacks aimed at specific companies which are subtle and difficult to detect, such as an advanced persistent threat (APT). In today's threat landscape, systems that can not only defend against attacks but also properly ascertain the extent of damage in the wake of an attack are required. To provide comprehensive support of its customers’ security management operations, CTC will newly establish a monitoring facility, the CTC Security Operations Center (CTC-SOC), in CTC’s data center, which is fully equipped with disaster prevention and security measures. And CTC will launch the CTC Managed Security Service (CTC-MSS) to monitor security equipment such as firewalls and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) in real-time 24x7 and analyze threats based on the collected information.

To deliver CTC-MSS services, CTC will partner with US-based SilverSky (CEO: Tim Harvey; Headquartered in Connecticut, USA), which provides security services to over 6,000 customers around the world with a focus on the financial services and other highly regulated industries. This partnership will enable CTC to leverage SilverSky’s Managed Security Platform, which provides advanced protection to customers by leveraging security data from its large customer base and thousands of correlation rules developed through years of experience in the Managed Security industry.
