[2020 New Year’s Message]
Produce results one after another in rapid succession

I would like to offer greetings to everyone as we embark on a new year.

In 2019, CTC entered the second year of its Medium-Term Management Plan dubbed "Opening New Horizons" and sought to achieve group-wide growth in the four horizons of "business reforms," "strong point enhancement," "development of new fields" and "business foundation buildups." Besides making advances in digital transformation (DX) business utilizing agile development and the IoT, we grew our network infrastructure and recurring businesses, which are our strong points. Meanwhile, two Indonesian companies PT. Nusantara Compnet Integrator and PT. Pro Sistimatika Automasi joined the CTC Group and our global business also progressed to the next stage.

The global economic outlook is still tinged with uncertainty given the ongoing trade friction between the United States and China, and Brexit. However, if we look at the IT market, the full-scale launch of 5G services in Japan is likely to lead to increased technological innovation, stirring up new demand. The market growth potential unleashed by 5G is not confined to Japan’s domestic market. 5G services have already been launched in other countries around the world such as United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea and China, and 5G services are expected to become more widespread across Southeast Asia in the future.

In 2020, CTC will enter the last fiscal year of its Medium-Term Management Plan. This comes after the first fiscal year when we start the plan, all relaxed and calm, and the fiscal year after that when we pick up tempo, get into a rhythm and seek to expand and step up initiatives. It is the fiscal year when we will produce results one after another in rapid succession. We will continue promoting businesses related to AI, the IoT and 5G, enhancing services in ASEAN and implementing other strategies in the four horizons to achieve our plan.

As the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) show, there are a great many issues in the world that need to be solved, not least eradication of poverty, respect for human rights, gender equality, and action on climate change. We have ten years left until 2030 by which time all the goals must be achieved. These goals have to be met for a more sustainable future for everyone. CTC will pursue the IT's potential based on "will" and "ethics" for the next generation and contribute to the realization of the Global Good.
