Launch of Service in Collaboration with WingArc1st to Provide End-to-End Support for Digital Transformation in the Manufacturing Industry

ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Tatsushi Shingu, President and CEO; hereinafter CTC) will launch a service in May 2025 that offers end-to-end support for the manufacturing industry, from identifying challenges for digital transformation (DX) to proposing and implementing systems to solve issues. The service will be provided in collaboration with WingArc1st Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Jun Tanaka, President, Executive Officer and CEO; hereinafter WingArc1st), a provider of software and services that support corporate data utilization.

Data-driven management, which is enabled by DX to centralize business data, gain real-time visibility into the current situation and utilize analysis results for management decision making, is becoming increasingly important. However, in the manufacturing industry, there are cases where data is scattered across factories and managed on paper, making it difficult to centralize data, highlighting the need for efficient data management frameworks.

The new service provides an end-to-end solution to support manufacturers, from identifying challenges for DX through interviews with executives and production site personnel to designing and implementing systems to address these challenges. WingArc1st's DX Concept Support Service will help identify issues and formulate a concept. CTC will be responsible for the development of systems, including WingArc1st’s products. Our system development service covers the entire process, from proof of concept (PoC) and requirement definitions to design, construction, and operational support. When customers build the system themselves, we will provide support for every step of their journey. Training and maintenance support will also be available through CTC System Management Corporation, one of our consolidated subsidiaries that provides IT system operation services.

This service enhances efficiency and digitalization in manufacturing operations by supporting production progress tracking, quality management, real-time monitoring, defect analysis, and visualization of key management metrics.

CTC has extensive experience in building and operating systems utilizing WingArc1st’s solutions, including SVF (form creation platform solution), invoiceAgent (electronic document management platform), Dr.Sum (data analysis platform) and MotionBoard (BI dashboard). By leveraging our expertise obtained so far and our engagement early in the conceptualization stage to offer the new service for customers’ DX, we aim to strengthen our capability to develop systems by utilizing WingArc1st’s entire product lineup.
