Oct 10, 2024 ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation
ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Tatsushi Shingu, President and CEO; hereinafter "CTC") today launched “C-Native Security Service”, a security countermeasure service for container-based virtualization and a new menu option added to our “C-Native”, a service that supports everything from deployment to operation of cloud-native environments. The new service comprehensively supports deployment and enhancement of security required in cloud-native environments by providing formulation of deployment plans tailored to customer needs, construction of environments and operational organization structures, and training for human resource development. We aim to offer the service to 100 companies over the next three years.
IT systems that support digital transformation (DX) require timely and continuous functional improvements, and container technology featuring flexibility and resilience to change is attracting attention. In addition, systems that utilize containers by integrating public clouds, private clouds, and edge computing environments, also known as cloud-native environments, is expected to be adopted more widely going forward.
C-Native Security Service is a comprehensive service to support security measures for container-based applications, from deployment to operation, with the aim of enhancing security of the cloud-native environments. We will provide “Assessment Service” and “Onboarding Service” as the first two services.
The “Assessment Service” supports planning and defining technical requirements for deployment of container security, assessment of the target system environment and procurement of necessary products and tools.
The “Onboarding Service” is a service aimed at helping customers themselves to achieve stable system operations by using each of the tools.
C-Native Security Service supports container environments, including Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat's hybrid cloud application platform that uses Kubernetes. The service utilizes “Sysdig Secure”, a SaaS-type security monitoring platform from Sysdig, Inc, to realize the security measures. Sysdig Secure is an integrated security platform built on open source that supports the mechanisms specific to cloud and container environments. We also use “Vault”, a security tool for secret management and data encryption from HashiCorp, Inc., to achieve unified and efficient management of access control and authentication, and protection of application data and databases across the entire cloud environment.
CTC will contribute to the safe operation of customer systems by adding the new menu option of the C-Native Security Service to C-Native, which we have been providing for customers to utilize container environments since 2020. We will continue to expand the C-Native menu options, including “Managed Service” which takes care of security operations on behalf of customers, to support their DX.
Overview of C-Native Security Service
We have received the following comments for this press release.
In the latest IT environments, attacks are becoming faster, from days to minutes. As companies move to container environments, there is a need for security solutions that can keep up with the speed and complexity of containers. Sysdig, which detects attacks on containers in real time, provides protection and prevention, and prioritizes addressing serious security incidents, is trusted by customers around the world. We are pleased to be able to help launch CTC's new “C-Native Security Service” which utilizes Sysdig Secure as a container security solution. We are also eager to contribute to enhancing security in the cloud and container environments in the Japanese market through benefits of C-Native services.
