ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Ichiro Tsuge, President and CEO; hereinafter “CTC”) expressed its support for the recommendations of “the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)” *1 on April 28, 2022.

TCFD

Under the CTC Group’s mission of “Leveraging IT's potential to change future for the Global Good”, the Group aims to achieve harmony between its business activities and the global environment through initiatives such as climate change mitigation, adaptation to climate change, effective use of resources, and biodiversity conservation.

We also made “the 2050 CTC Environmental Declaration”, a set of medium- to long-term environmental targets in 2019, which include achieving zero CO2 emissions from our own business activities by 2050. In addition, we have updated our materiality to define “Contribute to climate change countermeasures” as one of our material issues. With those efforts, we are working to realize a sustainable future.

We will continue making progress in addressing climate change and disclosing information based on the TCFD recommendations to further enhance our corporate value.

  • *1 Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD): TCFD was established by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) to promote corporate actions to mitigate climate change and disclosure of climate-related financial risks.
