CTC Adopts a Basic Policy on Diversity Aiming to Create an Environment That Permits Active Participation of Diverse Human Resources

ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (Satoshi Kikuchi, President and CEO; headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "CTC") announced that it has adopted a Basic Policy on Diversity to improve the job satisfaction of employees and to reinforce its operating foundations. CTC also began to take initiatives on April 1, 2020, concerning the understanding and inclusion of LGBT*1 and SOGI*2 issues.

To create an environment and corporate culture that permit active participation of diverse human resources, CTC has taken initiatives such as employees' work-style reforms, health and productivity management, aid for active participation of women, seniors, and people with disabilities, and support for balancing work with childcare/nursing care. Now, the company has formulated the Basic Policy on Diversity to better promote diversity by including LGBT and SOGI issues. Based on this new policy, CTC will also establish a consultation office related to LGBT and SOGI issues, and enhance relevant internal training programs, aiming to promote employees' understanding.

Basic Policy on Diversity

CTC respects all employees, regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, disability and other attributes, and strives to instill diversity based on its belief that the creation of new solutions and excellent services is enabled by a workplace environment that motivates all employees to work and permits employees with a variety of characteristics to cooperate in diverse work styles while taking on new challenges and achieving self-actualization.

LGBT Initiatives Based on the Basic Policy on Diversity

Internal Regulations Including the prohibition of SOGI harassment in the employment regulations
Internal Systems and Employee Benefits Establishing a dedicated consultation office
Making employees eligible for marriage leave, condolence leave, congratulatory or condolence payments, and allowances for transfer and transfer without family, even where these occasions arise in relation to same-sex partners
Promoting Understanding Holding study sessions for executives and employees
Providing online training to all employees and opening an internal website for providing basic knowledge
