Nov 01, 2024 CTC TECHNOLOGY Corporation
CTC TECHNOLOGY Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Toshihiro Nakaya, President and CEO; hereinafter CTCT), one of the consolidated subsidiaries of Itochu Techno-Solutions Corporation (CTC), which offers IT system maintenance and operation services and technical education service, has relocated its logistics center for delivering maintenance parts from Koto-ku, Tokyo to Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo to enhance its maintenance business. The new center was named as the “Tokyo Logistics Center” and began operations on October 1, 2024. The relocation aims to enhance the efficiency of maintenance parts delivery and expand the verification space to further improve the quality of maintenance services.
The Tokyo Logistics Center will serve as the core base for CTCT’s maintenance business, to receive, store and deliver approximately 50% of the maintenance parts, ensuring stable parts supply to service bases nationwide.
The new logistics center leverages its proximity to the airport and rail freight stations, collaborating with KINTETSU LOGISTICS SYSTEMS, INC., the landlord of the center, to update the logistics system by combining truck, air, and rail transportation. This will improve the efficiency of maintenance parts delivery nationwide, establish a faster and higher-quality maintenance service system, and promote modal shift to increase rail transport, which has a lower environmental impact.
Additionally, to strengthen the system for quality inspections of maintenance parts, the verification area has been expanded from that of the previous logistics center. This allows for quicker quality inspections of incoming parts and faster identification of causes for defective parts, enabling us to ask manufacturers of such parts to take countermeasures early and to inform customers using the same parts faster than before, thereby further improving the quality of maintenance services. The building is equipped with disaster prevention measures such as seismic isolation, flood control, and emergency power supply, ensuring stable supply of maintenance parts even in emergencies, supporting the stable operation of customers’ IT infrastructures.
The CTC Group established our maintenance and support system in early days after its establishment, and CTCT manages and inspects over 100,000 maintenance parts procured from 60 manufacturers with its own quality inspection standards by utilizing its technical expertise and know-how gained from services provided to customers nationwide.
Going forward, CTCT will further promote the use of renewable energy and modal shift, striving for sustainable logistics operations. In addition, CTCT will comprehensively support the entire IT lifecycle of over 10,000 customers with services provided by coordinating its own managed services and SI services of the CTC Group.
