Collaboration with Technologent, US-based IT Services Provider

ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Tatsushi Shingu, President and CEO) announced today that we will begin collaboration with Thomas Gallaway Corporation dba Technologent (headquartered in California, USA; Tammy Cooper, CEO; hereinafter “Technologent”), a provider of Information Technology (IT) solutions and services in the United States, with the aim of expanding our systems integration (SI) business and exploring new products and services in North America.

Since the 1980s, ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation has been making efforts in market research on the latest technologies, discovery of new products and services, and forming partnerships outside of Japan. In 2012, we began full-scale global business expansion in ASEAN and North America, and have been supporting IT needs of subsidiaries of Japanese companies and local companies in the regions since then. In North America, we, mainly through ITOCHU Techno-Solutions America, Inc., one of our consolidated subsidiaries, are proactively engaging in research on cutting-edge technologies and market trends, as well as R&D activities, and are also currently working to expand our SI business by chiefly serving subsidiaries of Japanese companies in the region.

Technologent is an IT service provider that offers a wide range of products and services from major IT vendors in North America. It provides comprehensive services, including deployment support, system development, and post-deployment maintenance and operation, to major US companies in various industries, including finance and healthcare. Technologent is one of the leading companies in provision of IT solutions and services utilizing new technologies such as AI, cloud, data, and cyber security and is expanding its business by actively focusing on these growth areas.

With establishment of the capital and business alliance^*1 between ITOCHU Corporation and Technologent, ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation and Technologent have concluded a basic agreement to expand SI businesses of both companies. By collaborating in making joint proposals in each of their home countries, ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation aims to further expand our SI business for subsidiaries of Japanese companies in the US, while Technologent aims to launch its SI business for subsidiaries of US companies in Japan. In addition, ITOCHU Techno-Solutions America, which is responsible for discovering advanced technologies, will work together with Technologent in rolling out and successful adoption of new products and services so that we can further strengthen our proposal capabilities in the Japanese market.
