Jul 29, 2025 ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation
ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Tatsushi Shingu, President and CEO; hereinafter CTC) has implemented practical cybersecurity training courses on a company-wide scale for approximately 4,000 sales representatives and engineers. By further enhancing their skills, CTC aims to strengthen our proposal and technical capabilities in system design, implementation, and operation, thereby developing talent capable of delivering more advanced and reliable solutions.
We will leverage this initiative to enhance our support for zero trust security implementation and consulting services utilizing the latest cybersecurity technologies, and expand our managed security services including operational improvements, so that we can further strengthen our support for customers in achieving secure IT operations.
With the widespread adoption of cloud services and remote work, corporate IT environments have become increasingly sophisticated and complex, making it difficult to rely on the traditional assumption that everything inside the company is secure. In addition, the rise in external cyberattacks and internal misconducts has further highlighted the growing importance of zero trust security, a model that verifies every access attempt to applications, networks, and devices, regardless of whether it originates from inside or outside the organization.
Approximately 4,000 sales representatives and engineers have completed the Zero Trust Coordinator training course developed by GLOBAL SECURITY EXPERTS Inc. (hereinafter GSX) to enhance their proficiency in the technical elements and implementation and operational plans necessary to realize a zero trust architecture that verifies all accesses based on the principle of trust nothing.
In addition, we are actively promoting the acquisition of various certifications offered by EC-Council, a globally recognized technical certification body in the field of cybersecurity. As of now, 254 employees have obtained its certifications. EC-Council certifications are globally recognized by regulatory authorities and adopted by government agencies and enterprises worldwide, and certified professionals are recognized as those equipped with advanced expertise and practical skills to deliver more sophisticated security solutions.
CTC has been working to enhance security services for over 30 years, offering a wide range of support from consulting services such as security assessment and implementation planning to managed security services that include post-implementation operational improvements. Additionally, in our proprietary security product verification environment, Cyber Security Lab, we simulate system environments tailored to customer requirements. By applying the skills acquired through the Zero Trust Coordinator training course and the Certified Cybersecurity Technician (CCT), a certification of the EC-Council, we enhance our technical capabilities in design, implementation, and operations. Through these initiatives, we are reinforcing our capabilities to address increasingly diverse and serious cybersecurity risks across industries and sectors.
Going forward, we will continue to strengthen our capabilities to propose security measures throughout the system lifecycle, from construction to operation, and to implement those measures in our customers' systems by developing highly skilled security personnel. In this way, we will contribute to improving the security of our customers' IT operations.
We have received the following comments for this press release.

The company is actively committed to developing security talent, and motivating them to take EC-Council security certification programs or other security programs offered by GSX, resulting in its number of program participants as being among the largest in Japan. These GSX certification courses are designed as practical programs and are recommended by US government agencies since they are effective for participants to become proficient in implementing and operating cybersecurity measures.
