CTC and Bosch SDS Launch Strategic Collaboration to Support Manufacturing Digital and Green Transformation with SAP Cloud ERP

ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Tatsushi Shingu, President and CEO; hereinafter CTC) and Bosch Software and Digital Solutions (headquartered in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Hiroshi Nakatsuno, Region Head - Japan and Korea; hereinafter Bosch SDS), a business unit of Bosch Global Software Technologies Limited, have announced a strategic partnership. The collaboration focuses on promoting the adoption of SAP S/4HANA® Cloud Public Edition in Japan’s manufacturing industry. It aims to accelerate digital transformation (DX) and green transformation (GX), while also addressing expertise transfer from skilled technicians and system obsolescence across the sector.

In the manufacturing industry, as skilled engineers retire and it becomes increasingly difficult to secure next-generation talent, progress in eliminating dependency on expert individuals, as well as in standardization and data utilization, has been slow. As a result, the transfer of knowledge and expertise accumulated in manufacturing functions has become a major challenge. In addition, conventional systems lack the flexibility to adapt to changes in business processes, leading to optimization that remains confined to individual departments. Since enterprise-wide management systems have not been widely adopted, there tends to be insufficient information sharing and alignment between on-site operations and management.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition enables the implementation of unified business processes based on standard cloud ERP best practices, thereby promoting collaboration and information sharing across departments. By leveraging APIs to integrate with external systems, it supports enterprise-wide operational optimization and helps build a resilient management foundation that can adapt to changes.

As part of this collaboration, Bosch SDS’s templates^*1 for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, successfully deployed across multiple manufacturing firms in India and Southeast Asia, will be integrated with Figues Starter, CTC’s templates for end-to-end implementation support. This joint approach will enable Japanese manufacturers to implement ERP systems aligned with Japan’s legal frameworks, accounting standards, business practices and document formats. CTC provides end-to-end support, covering everything from template application and API-based integration to development and operations. While maintaining standardized business processes, the solution also addresses customers’ specific requirements and supports AI-driven data analysis, enabling the implementation of an ERP system with high scalability and maintainability.
