ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Tatsushi Shingu, President and CEO; hereinafter CTC), in collaboration with SIGMAXYZ Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Hiroshi Ota, Representative Director and President; hereinafter SIGMAXYZ), will launch the CIO-Partners Service, a comprehensive and end-to-end support service designed to help Chief Information Officers (CIOs) throughout the entire process from corporate strategy formulation to execution. This service consists of three offerings, and as the first offering, we will roll out the CIO x Compass powered by Co-CIO Service (CIO-Compass).
In recent years, as many companies have been pursuing digital transformation to drive business transformation, expectations for CIOs have been shifting from the traditional role of supporting business strategy to one of leading management strategy. However, challenges faced by those who are practically responsible for carrying out strategies have become apparent, such as “unable to make tangible progress in execution of strategies formulated on paper” and “initiatives for strategies fail to take root across the organizations.”
To address these challenges, SIGMAXYZ has been providing the Co-CIO Service since 2023, which supports CIOs in resolving and advancing tasks and issues across seven key domains that CIOs should focus on, and has supported CIOs across a wide range of industries.
Meanwhile, since the 1970s, CTC has been introducing cutting-edge technologies from North America to the Japanese market and has built optimal systems for enterprises by leveraging partnerships with more than 300 global partners. The two companies will form a team enhanced in agility, execution capability, and implementation expertise through this collaboration to help customers in their business transformation.
CIO-Compass is an offering that provides comprehensive, practical and end-to-end support for customers in their transformation through the collaboration, covering everything from the assessment of the current state of a company’s IT and digital functions to strategy formulation, organizational management, and IT investment management. CTC enhances the feasibility and reliability of the formulated strategies by leveraging our extensive system integration experience and infrastructure development capabilities—namely our execution and technical expertise. In addition, by delivering comprehensive strategic proposals covering everything from system design and implementation to operation and maintenance, CTC simultaneously strengthens our capability to resolve customers’ management challenges and deepens long-term customer relationships.
Furthermore, through the support activities, the service will identify customers’ latent challenges and continuously propose initiatives aimed at driving further growth. CTC is also advancing the development of the following two new offerings of the CIO-Partners Service, with the aim of launching them by the end of FY2026.
| CIO x Architect (CIO-Architect) | This offering defines business, data, application, and technology elements as a coherent, end-to-end architecture standard for overall optimization, and delivers tangible results in an agile and phased manner, to optimize enterprise-wide business processes and IT. |
|---|---|
| CIO x Modernize (CIO-Modernize) | This offering improves the productivity and quality of system development, operation, and maintenance by leveraging technologies centered on generative AI. |
Going forward, CTC will continue to build on our long-standing capabilities in IT system development and implementation, while collaborating with companies in the ITOCHU Digital Value Chain, including SIGMAXYZ. Through highly effective joint offerings that integrate the strengths of each company, CTC will provide support along every step for digital transformation of our customers to accelerate their business transformation.
