Feb 05, 2026 ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation
ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Tatsushi Shingu, President and CEO; hereinafter CTC) today started offering Oracle Database@AWS, a service that enables customers to use Oracle AI Database on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) deployed within Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers.
Oracle Database@AWS enables more advanced data analytics and AI utilization through the use of Oracle AI Database. In addition, the service allows large-scale core systems—such as mission-critical systems run on premises—to be migrated to AWS while maintaining existing architectures and operational practices. We will offer the service primarily to enterprises considering the migration of core and business‑critical systems to cloud environments, aiming to achieve sales of JPY 15 billion over the next three years.
In recent years, while interest in migrating core systems to the cloud has been growing, many enterprises continue to run databases on premises due to concerns over security, performance, and operational workload. Oracle AI Database, in particular, is often deployed in highly optimized on‑premises environments featuring high-performance and high-availability architectures across multiple servers, posing a significant challenge of achieving equivalent performance in cloud environments.
Oracle Database@AWS is a service that enables customers to use Oracle AI Database on OCI environments deployed within AWS data centers without the need to individually install it on AWS virtual servers or independently design performance and operate systems. Instead, customers can leverage a high-performance, highly available architecture optimized for AWS.
Standard migration tools are provided, allowing for a smooth transition to AWS without major changes to existing on‑premises configurations or operational processes. Furthermore, the service enables flexible system designs by integrating with AWS networking and peripheral services. Traditionally, on‑premises environments required provisioning compute resources such as CPU and memory in advance to accommodate temporary workload peaks, such as during monthly financial closings. With Oracle Database@AWS, customers are not required to maintain oversized configurations during normal operations. Resources can be scaled up or down flexibly as needed, enabling cost management that more accurately reflects actual usage.
As the service is offered via AWS Marketplace*1, customers can centrally manage usage fees for Oracle AI Database and AWS, and contractual procedures, thereby reducing the operational burden from implementation through ongoing operations.
CTC brings extensive experience in the sales, system integration, and maintenance of Oracle AI Database, as well as a strong track record in supporting AWS migrations as an AWS Premier Tier Partner. Since 2017, CTC has also held the AWS Oracle Competency*2, demonstrating our expertise in designing, migrating, operating, and optimizing Oracle workloads in AWS environments. Leveraging engineers with deep expertise in both Oracle AI Database and AWS, CTC also provides managed services optimized for Oracle Database@AWS.
Going forward, CTC will further expand our support services to address challenges in database migration and operations for companies leveraging AWS, by offering Oracle Database@AWS as a starting point in this service domain. We also consider offering the service in other cloud environments, including Google Cloud and Microsoft, in addition to AWS, providing more options to customers that allow them to make choices in accordance with their environments and supporting broader adoption of cloud technologies.
Oracle Database@AWS Overview
